Handicrafts
Today handicrafts still remain the lifeline and main moving force of Swayambhar Nari
among all other various activities.
IN 1992 Swayambhar got their new registration under the new name Swayambhar Nari (Non Formal Action Research Institute). Noted journalist and philanthropist Mr. Amitava Chowdhury was the first President. The primary work of Swayambhar Nari was to help women to be economically and mentally self-reliant. And today there are huge number of men and women who have been benefited and made into small entrepreneurs through the various activities and training programs of Swayambhar Nari.
People who have been deeply involved with "Swayambhar Nari" for a long time...have shared their own experiences with us. Here are some of them...

From time to time, some useful gifts are given to the children by this school, for which all parents and our kids both are very happy. Not everyone always has enough money to buy essential things for children. If they get something from the school, children will also be encouraged to study.”
