Exhibition on handicrafts

Swayambhar Nari has a strong network in marketing. We participate in different Exhibitions/Fairs throughout the year. Every year Swayambhar Nari organizes Exhibition cum sale program at Jamshedpur, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Lalan Utsav

Swayambhar Nari had started Lalan mela at  Kamarpara of Birbhum since 2011. This is a festival of Baul and Folk songs of Bengal to commemorate the birth of great Saint Lalan Fakir.  It has become an annual Festival for the local people. From 2016 onwards it is being celebrated as Lalan Utsab only for one day along with various local programs.

Joint initiative by NABARD and Swayambhar Nari during Lockdown

NABARD and Swayambhar Nari jointly initiated to distribute Food and other necessary items during the Lockdown period. They distributed these items among 12 villages in Rajnagar Block of Birbhum. 570 families were benefited by them.

Corona-Awareness Program

Swayambhar Nari took the initiative to spread the awareness about protection from the Corona virus among villagers in Rajnagar Block of Birbhum. Teachers from our Rajnagar schools came forward to help in taking the initiative.

A rural 'Haat' was inaugurated by Gangmuri-Joypur Gram Panchayat Pradhan Sri Sukumar Garai in Rajnagar block, Birbhum.

A weekly rural haat called ' Amader Haat' was launched and organised by Swayambhar Nari on 26.2.22. Local  villagers from Gangmuri Joypur Panchayat area can sell their produce in this haat and all local people would be highly benefitted by buying their daily and other needs from them.

Free Health & Eye check-up Camp in Kamarpara, Birbhum

A free Health and Eye check-up Camp was organised by Swayambhar Nari in association with Rotary club of Calcutta North West on 27th February, 2022. People from the villages in  and around Kamarpara got their eyes and health checkup done by the doctors from Kolkata and was greatly benefited.

Millet Production

Government of India has initiated the Mllet Mission 2023 and swayambhar Nari has already taken an initiative to cultivate millet at Kuralmetia village of Gangmuri Joypur Panchayat of Rajnagar community development Block. At present, Swayambhar in their WADI project is cultivating four different varieties of millets... those are:

Foxtail, Finger Barnyard and Lttle.

The harvesting of millet production has already been done and the total quantity of the production is 25 quintal. The overall processing and marketing will be done by fbc that is Swayambhar Producer Company limited.
